Procrastination Station: Commercials

The winners of the Clio Awards were announced and I was pleased to find that the "Aaron Burr" Got Milk commercial was given Hall of Fame status. I remember how popular that spot was way back in 1993 when I was in High School. It kicked off the entire Got Milk campaign and is still memorable, if not a trivia question somewhere on Jeopardy.   You can watch the "Aaron Burr" spot, along with the other winners, over at the Clio Awards site.  I also really like these Pepsi Throwback commercials.  It's amazing what good voice acting makes in a commercial, tv show, or movie.  The voice of Pepsi really nails it.    What's Up 70's Decorative Mantlepiece?

Who says hard work doesn't pay off

Well, lookee here...today NBC announced their new Fall Lineup and ta-daa, " Chuck" is back!  Although it's coming back with a smaller budget, and a smaller cast, it will be back.  They don't need a lot of money to still write in those pop culture bon-mots that I love so much, so I'm fine with the new budget.  It won't be coming back until March 2010 though, and that's like foooorrreeever from now.   Here's what NBC exec Ben Silverman had to say about renewing our favorite spy-geek:  "And the demand for  Chuck  that came from online and the advertising base made us have to pick up that show. The other shows, there was not that kind of attention or energy." Did you read that right?  Demand that came from "online and the advertising base"?  That's me!  And you!  And the 4 other people that read this blog that sent their support towards the show.  First they bring back "Friday Night Lights", and now they bring back ...
