Dapples from Movies & TV: Celeb Sightings

Whenever I talk to friends from out of town, they always ask me if I've met anyone famous. Given that I've lived in LA for almost all of my life, I have to say yes. But then, I can never think of anyone off the top of my head. And I think it's because of this: LA is the home of tons of celebrities. It's their little comfort zone. So, if I see Arsenio Hall at the Pier 1 Imports on Ventura buying throw pillows with his wife (true story), then I don't want to bother them and go on about how much I like their movie/show/blog/record/children's name. Let them be and live their lives like any normal, non-star/celebrity. That's how I would want to be treated if I were to become an international superstar.
HOWEVER, they are still everywhere and with this blog, I will document the celebs that I see around town. I am not
Gawker or Defamer(*RIP) and will not note precise details like time of day and intersections and all that. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just that this is going to be more like a general log so the next time someone asks me I can name the names.

Celeb Sighting #6: Sandra Oh @ Lawry's Restaurant on La Cienega. We were gathered there to celebrate my mom's birthday and got a table seated right by the entrance. Not only did it serve to help the waitresses ooh and ahh over LMH*, it also helped us spot Sandra Oh, whom I love watching on Grey's Anatomy. She's the only non-whiney character in the bunch (No, "I'm Bambi!" for her). I also think she is one of the few Asian American role models out there for people that want to act. She's had a varied career, doing movies, stage, and tv. And, for the most part, it's not roles that are "stereotypical Asian" roles. Heck, even on Grey's she's Jewish. Celeb sighting + spinning salad, yorkshire pudding, prime rib, and spinach = a very good evening out.

*Seriously. This girl gets so much attention, it's ridiculous. Although, she is the most adorable baby in the world, so I get it.
