Save Our Show!!: Chuck vs. NBC edition

Ok, so I used to watch a lot of tv. I grew up watching reruns of "Scooby-Doo" at 2:35 on WGN (why did everything start 5 minutes late?), early MTV when it was just videos, and "Beverly Hills 90210" when the exterior of The Peach Pit was really The Apple Pan on Pico. However, now that I have LMH, things are a bit different and I have cut back on my hours in front of the tube.*

Due to my smaller viewing window, I have cutback on most of the crap tv that I normally watch and just watch the whittled down lineup, which in my mind is the best (Thank goodness for Tivo.) Survival of the fittest, you might say. But now it appears that NBC will cancel one of my top tier shows, "Chuck", which airs Monday nights at 8pm PST. I didn't really watch the first season (I was trying out "Reaper" for a bit), but I ended up watching the first season during its' hiatus and quickly became addicted. I would love this show just on the basis of all of the "Spies Like Us" references, but it's more than that; it's also funny, emotional, and action packed. It's got the holy trinity of a good show. It also is nice because The Hubband and I can watch it together and both enjoy it, as opposed to when one of us wants to watch "Dancing With The Stars" while the other wants to watch "24" (You figure out who wants to watch what.)

So, in an effort to keep the show on the air, there are a couple of websites devoted to getting it renewed for a 3rd season. I highly recommend checking them out and dropping a Buy More Comment card in the mail to Ben Silverman. It is such a good show and I would completely hate NBC if they dropped it in favor of something stupid, like "Howie Do It." (Really, who watches this? And why, for heaven's sakes?)

It worked with "Friday Night Lights", can it work for Mr. Bartowski?

Here's a couple of clips: Unfortunately, I don't have a lot to choose from. Damm you, NBC and your copyright infringement! **

Also, here's "Spies Like Us" related one:

*You have to realize of course, that my reduced hours still might be more than you. :)

Full disclosure: I worked on the Season 1 DVD release of this show last year. Instead of getting burnt out on it and hating it because it meant dumb executives and overtime, I came to love it more. So it must be a good show!!

And now, because I'm on a "Spies Like Us" kick:

**Update: I just realized that Chuck Episodes are streaming on Hulu.com.  What are you waiting for?  Check it out!
