It's so addicting...

Since becoming a new Mom, I've learned a bunch. How to swaddle, how to take a baby's temperature (ugh), and how to babyproof. I've also discovered a bunch of new websites dedicated to making your life as a parent easier, cheaper, and more fun. One of these websites is Mamabargains.com. They bring you baby/kiddo/maternity items to you at a super discounted price. And after they sell out of the item, a new one pops up in it's place! It's amazingly addictive.I've purchased stuff for LMH there, as well as gifts for other little kiddos. I've also got some stuff for myself. I do end up spending a bit of time on this website, snapping up bargains, but the guilt isn't as bad because they are discounted by such a big amount. Plus, they've recently added USPS shipping options, so the shipping costs don't have to be so high. It's a great place to get something for your little one, as well as where to stock up on some great Christmas items. Check it out at the above link, or with the link on the right. Quick Review of the new F'nE: "Frankly, I'm underwhelmed."

Tesco's new Fresh and Easy opened up Thursday in 6 different cities. My friends and I have been anxiously awaiting the opening because that area was in desparate need of another supermarket. If the Hubband and I wanted to make waffles on Saturday morning but didn't have enough eggs, we'd have to schlep all the way down to the not-so-great Ralphs on Colorado & Verdugo (not far really, but we're lazy - it's the weekend after all) Plus, the F'nE was touted as a grocery store with "Lots of fresh and wholesome food choices, including prepared meals and organic foods, [that] make healthy eating easy and affordable." So, we went to opening day over at the F'nE, and I'm still trying to figure out how best to describe the place. Dapples from the Movies - Beginnings and Endings

Movies are a hobby of mine, I guess you could say. I'm not a film school geek, but I can turn a phrase here or there (The color timing on Traffic was great because it helped separate the 3 different storylines throughout the movie). And I watch a lot of movies and television, movies about television, TV shows about movies, etc. A lot. To put it simply, I enjoy watching the picture shows. Plus, my job pretty much centers around it and TV, so it surrounds me all day. Which is great. Anyway, every now and then, I'll have a few observations from the movies or TV shows that I have been watching. Hence, my new series "Dapples from the Movies (or TV)".
