Now I'm blind.

Well, this weekend was quite an eventful one. Friday night, the hubband, my friend George, and his wife all went to the Dodger game. This rematch ended quite unlike the first game we went to in June. We lost, committed some dumb errors (there is a reason you learn how to call a fly ball in Little League, you know), and we didn't see anyone remotely like this. I'm afraid that he might be a rare sighting, much like a shooting star. Sigh.

After the game, we all went and waited for the release of the new Harry Potter book. I finished it in two days. I would have probably finished it in one, but there were other things to do. It was excellent, although I'm going to have to re-read it to clear up a few things. The crowd at the Barnes & Noble was crazy! There were people dressed up as witches and wizards - a few had stuffed owls too. There was even a guy dressed like Hagrid. The only downside was this weird couple that kept making out in the aisles. And it wasn't like B&N was all secluded and cozy, there was like 1,000 people there. Save the smooching for someone else! I don't need to feel nauseated when I buy the last HP book! UGH!

There were so many people there, I was thinking that we wouldn't get out of there until 2. But fortunately, once the book actually started being sold, the lines went relatively quickly. We got ours at about 1 am. And of course, I stayed up 'til 3 reading the first few chapters. Yesterday, I was at the last couple of chapters and my eyes started to give out, so I was literally holding up the book a couple inches away from my eyes to finish. I felt like I was going blind. But it was well worth it! I'm a dork and I don't care! Thanks JK Rowling, you're story was so good I almost went blind.
