Not quite free, but still pretty darn good

I thought I'd take a quick break from work (which is getting busier by the moment and making it really hard to procrastinate) to blog about this fantastic sale: I know I alert all 5 of you, my dear readers, to things that are free out there in the world. This time, it's a sale. Not free, but pretty affordable. Threadless.com is having their $10 t-shirt sale, where yes, every t-shirt is $10. It's a pretty good sale and they've got some new shirts up on their site like this one: As I've posted before, I really like threadless.com for their different, but not weird T's. I've even given them as gifts to some of my friends. And at $10 a pop, you don't have to decide between these this one: Or this one: You can get both! Personally, I'm going to have to get this one . Even though I do like me some pickles. Hurry up though! The sale only lasts until Sept. 3rd! Ok that's it! Nose back to the grindstone.

I think I scared my dog

So tonight was the finale of "So You Think You Can Dance". I am brave enough to admit that I love this show. The performers are truly talented, and for once I feel like the eliminations are not just based on popularity but actual knowledge*. There's not a Sanjaya in the whole top 20. Plus, what else is there to watch in the summertime? That being said, I was very excited about tonight's finale. I thought that the top 4 were all deserving of the win, although I must confess that I really didn't want Lacey or Neil to take it all. Lacey's an excellent performer, but a) oversold almost every performance with her facial expressions and her pointing and b) never was as strong or had as much polish as the other three. Neil improved so much throughout the show, but I felt that if he won it, it would just be due to the screaming pre-teen/teenage popular vote. Sabra has been a favorite of mine, coming to the forefront halfway in the season, and Danny is just ama...

You've got to be kidding me

Either this is a farce, or I just read about the densest man in the world . Place him in the same group as the guy who had a nail in his head, and the woman who didn't know that she was pregnant until she was crowning.

Yay for the FNE! and for the York too!

Even since the local Albertson's closed up last year, I've been wondering what would take it's place. Too big of a space for Trader Joe's, but too small for a Vons. What IS going in there is a store called " Fresh&Easy " (I, for one, opt for calling it the "FNE" or "effin-E"). Finally! A supermarket that we can quickly jet out to when we need eggs or something that won't take 45 minutes to get thru. (I'm looking at you Albertsons!!! and to a certain extent: the Ralphs on Verdugo and Colorado!!!) From what I hear, it's a chain from Britain specializing in fresh food that you can take home and quickly prepare. Which is fantastic to me because unlike some people I know , I am lazy in preparing dinner, especially when I get home late after work. So, quick & easy is good for me! The fact that it's also fresh is even better! The building is too big for just the FNE, so hopefully, some other businesses will move in....
